Teaching Method
Different strategies and methods we're used by the teacher in presenting the lesson to the students. Especially in mathematics, the teacher uses the inductive method in the other times and using activity - based approach.

With the curriculum of Athira, they should anchor their lesson to their weekly theme. The teacher must apply and find the connectivity of the topic to theme so that the students learn its application in real life situations.

As observed, the teacher also using the problem solving strategy which enable the students work on their own. The teacher gives also varied examples so that the students will deepened their knowledge about the topic.

To ensure that the subject are well - taught, Athira designs their classroom that their two assistant teachers. These two assistant teachers are the one who supervise and broadening the concept to each of the students. Since the maximum number of the students inside the classroom is 30, the students ca have their time in asking help for the teachers.

Teaching - Learning Materials
Learning materials also matters in teaching. It helps the teacher in facilitating the acquisition of knowledge of the students.

Just like other schools, Athira has the textbook that is written both in Bahasa and English. Their books and other learning materials are based on the national competency. However, my cooperating teacher does not rely only on the book, instead he find another examples and explanations on other sources in the internet.

Aside from using the book, the school has also the computer classroom equipped with internet connection. The students can surf websites which they can get some information they needed. Besides with technological materials, my teacher also teach the lesson using the actual or concrete materials so that the students could see the real life representation and symbols that the topic would like to emphasize. Sir Radi, used the triangle, compass and also protractor that the students can see the actual measurement.
Sources of the Materials
To ensure that the school attain the quality education, they provide all the learning and teaching materials used by the teacher; from the facilities up to the other learning materials which the students uses. Each classroom is equipped with the LED Projector and screen wherein the teacher would plug in the laptop whenever he use it during the class. Their are also built in speakers inside the classroom because sometimes the announcement are just transmitted through the speakers of each class.

Regularly, the school also provide the supplies needed by the teacher inside the class. However, if the teacher's material is not available in the school, he is the one providing it for the benefits of the students.
Authentic Assessment
As I observed during my entire stay in the school, my cooperating also give quizzes to his students that serves as his assessment to their learning. During their class discussion, the teacher also rates the students in their participation. The teacher also give both individual and group activity to the students.

Athira School has also the scheduled date for their summative and quarter examinations. Through this, the teacher would be able to assess the knowledge acquire by the students.
​
The teacher also uses informal assessment to the students, just like asking questions directly and discussing the answer in the class. He also let the students solve on their seats and aksing some to show their work on the board.
