Education is one of the factors for individual's change in life. It contributes a lot to the holistic development and growth of each one. Learning through experience may one of the greatest quality education to attain.
Joining this program is a great honor and privileged because I will be able to see my self in a place full of diversed culture people. Knowing their culture, beliefs, and educational system is a great opportunity to widen my knowledge about the beauty of this world.

This blog contains the information and details as I experienced and take my practice teaching journey in Indonesia. It also includes the educational system of the schools I've gone there; including their curriculum, teaching - learning strategies and styles, and even their form of assessment. The content of this deals also my observations and actual demonstration during my practice of teaching there. Furthermore, exploration and excursion was also included in this site. Diverging to the culture and beliefs of the country gives also the essence during my entire stay in the said country; including their way of living and foods.

January 12 - February 8
A Gateway of the Journey to Take
It's a mixed emotion bother myself on the 12th day of January because this is the day that I will start to take a step to another chapter of my journey. It is my first time to go abroad but it is meaningful because I know that I can learn a lot. Bringing the name of the school and waiving the flag of the country is great pride and honor for me. I am very glad that I have a companion coming from our university also, named Frea Mae, a biology major. A little bit nervous and excited mixing on my stomach because we are about to bound Manila at 11:40 and wait for our next flight going to Kuala Lumpur.

Sharing of ideas and laughter are the best way to kill the time. We waited for 9 hours for our next flight going to Kuala Lumpur together with another pair of SEA Teacher participants coming from our school. We bounded Kuala Lumpur at around 2 A.M. of January 13, 2019. Frea and I, waited for more than 10 hours for our flight going to Makassar, Indonesia. As what most popular saying goes, patience is a virtue. We able to have our flight at about 1 P.M.

At around 5 P.M. we were able to bound Sultan Hassanudin Airport in Indonesia. We were welcomed by our buddy named Dyah and accompanied us in going to La Macca Hotel, where we are supposed to stay for the entire month. Furthermore, we able to meet our Thailand friends which we have the same flights also. Dyah brought us to the place where they sell their best food named Coto. She able us also to taste another delicacy of their place, terang bulan, a sweet and delicious food. We took more than an hour in going to the hotel however we enjoyed a lot through the laughter and the ideas we shared to each other. After that, we were able to meet other participants and we exchange hands and names with each other and that's ended our night.
